I’m almost 40 and really need to get in better shape. I’ve just never been able to stick with any routine for longer than a week or two. Running, lifting, etc. is just so boring. It also doesn’t help that I have a fairly demanding 9-5, a very demanding 6-year-old, and a home to take care of. My windows to focus on working out are very early in the morning or post 9pm. Free time is very limited, and even though I need to get in shape, working out is just very low on the list of things I want to do when I’m tired and mentally drained and have a few minutes to myself. I need some sort of accountability system I think, but the idea of working out with other people is not appealing to me, either in a team fitness setup or at the gym. How do you make this more enjoyable and something that you actually look forward to doing?
