Built a custom extension to automate my most repetitive tasks (Price bumping + AI replies), looking for feedback!
Hey fellow hosts, I’m a host and developer and I’ve been helping a friend optimize their Airbnb workflow lately. I finally got tired of seeing them handle the same manual tasks every morning, so I built a private Chrome extension to automate the two things that were eating up their time:
The "Ranking" Bot: It automatically increases a listing price by $1 every day and then decreases/resets it on a schedule. We noticed this consistent "activity" helps keep the listing active in the search algorithm without actually changing the booking rate for the guest.
AI Response Suggester: Instead of typing the same "Where is the wifi" or "Check-in" info, when a guest messages, the extension suggests a drafted AI response immediately. You can review/edit it before hitting send, so it stays personal but takes seconds. I’m looking to see if this is something other hosts would find useful, or if you’ve found better ways to handle these tweaks. Also, since I’m looking to expand my portfolio in the Airbnb space, I’m open to building custom automation or specialized extensions if you have a specific "pain point" that existing software doesn't solve.
