Basically, I want a sub 20 in RSG, and I already have nearly 80k resets. I have some crazy good runs I threw (including one i recently made a post about, regarding taking half a heart of pearl damage), but overall I know how to do mapless BT, my ranked PB is a 13:44 on a village seed but for some reason none of this is translating into RSG.. one of the biggest areas where I realised RSG is different with respect to ranked is the terrain.. the terrain to the bastion and fort in ranked is almost always open, but in RSG ive had like atleast 10k runs die to a lack of terrain, any help on this?

also, thsi is my avg/expected, fastest and reset time splits:

avg nether enter: 4:30, reset max: 6 min, fastest: 2:30
avg time to reach bastion: 8 min, fastest: 3min, reset by 10 min
avg time to reach fort: 12 min, fastest: 6min, reset by 14
avg time to blind, measure and go to sh coords: 15 min, fastest 9 min, reset by 18
avg time to nav, 16-17 min, fastest 11:30, no reset
try to zero (know front til T94, back til M91, no buried), fastest attempt was a 12:xx choke (ranked), never been on sub 20 pace on rsg, closest was a missed zero leading to my current pb of 20:54

any tips/suggestions? i spend like an hour a day on rsg, and i feel that on the right seed a sub 15 is possible for me, but thats only if i get a sub 20 first lol

Why do pearls randomly decide to deal suffocation damage when landing? I know they do 2 and a half hearts per landing (variable with armor or feather falling) but after landing they still do some amounts of suffocation damage. I was just on PB pace and on 3 hearts, threw a pearl, didn't even have time to react before I died, would've had my first RSG sub 20...
