Hello!
My LO is transitioning transitioning away from formula. Previously i did breastfeeding + formula (probably 90% formula) because I didnt have a lot of milk and baby was still crying of hunger after nursing for 30 mins or more. Over the past week though ive breastfed at every opportunity to hopefully increase my milk output. Sometimes, she’ll nurse for an hour or more (she’ll nurse for a few mins, fall asleep, wake up to nurse again) and she’ll end up so hungry that i just give her a bottle. But sometimes she’ll fall asleep and continue sleeping for hours (for example, i last gave her a bottle at 1pm and it is currently 8pm and ive only nursed her maybe 2 - 3 times for 10 mins each time, in that timeframe). How do I know if she’s full or is she just sleeping through the hunger? And how do I know if I need to wake her up to feed her? Just having these doubts as I’m not that confident in my milk supply being able to keep her full.. i pumped yesterday and got 1.5oz both sides 20 mins, and shes 40 days so she drinks 2oz per session. Also is it even possible for a newborn to sleep through hunger?
