It rides on top of a backpack and they still call it fully trained. Sounds familiar, right? Like Callie, the stroller cat “fully trained” at 8 months.
Oh but it does behavior interruptions but it’s just a single tap. What is that really doing? At least Callie can hold it. The orbit only works with a lure which defeats the point. And crowd control with a cat just puts it at risk.
There’s barely any real public footage either, mostly clips out a window. At least in Wisconsin laws allow “any animal” but this one probably isn’t even legal where they are and they don’t say the state.
And the “tasks” are just tapping and luring. Meanwhile it can sit pretty and roll over. That’s tricks, not service work.
This is exactly why service cats have a bad reputation.
Here’s some reasons why service cats aren’t great
They sleep too much to be consistent They aren’t bred to work like dogs They’re too small for most tasks Public places can stress them out They don’t stay focused long
That’s why they don’t have a good reputation and aren’t in the ADA. These people posting the cats are just view-seeking. They’re not helping anyone, they’re harming real service dog teams.
Hey, free joke: what do you call a service animal that can’t task? A service cat.
It’s bad when you can compare a fake to something faker but it makes Callie look better, that’s insane.
Can't forget most of all, this black cat bites!
