Urgently need help about closed windows
I’ve rented out a furnished apartment for a few months. from the photos it looked like a decent place to live for a few months. when I arrived I found out I cannot open up the windows. the apartment also has this stale smell to it that I can’t get rid of. I have inquired about the windows to the owner and she simply said that the windows cannot be opened and that the ventilation is fine. I had to ask her for a kitchen exhaust since the owner didn’t have anything while cooking. smoke would fume in the apartment and it would take a long time for it to go away. she gave me a portable kitchen exhaust after I complained about the situation. I recently paid for an air purifier but it just feels like I’m trapped in the house and the stale air just won’t go away. I believe the ventilation just re circulates the same air. does anyone know the rules in Nebraska? thank you.
