Sourcing Coffee (Jacobs, Lavazza, Gevalia) in the EU: How to Vet Suppliers and Avoid Scammers?
Hello everyone! I am looking for opportunities to purchase wholesale coffee (Jacobs, Lavazza, and Gevalia) for international trade. My priority is suppliers from the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. The main issue right now is the massive number of suspicious websites. I often encounter professional-looking platforms that turn out to be shell companies with no real stock in a warehouse. I have two questions for those active in this market: Vetting: How do you verify new wholesalers in the EU in 2026? Which business registries or specific checks do you recommend performing before proceeding to payment? Sourcing: What is currently the most effective way to find legitimate wholesale companies in these countries? I want to reach serious wholesalers and avoid wasting time on "advertising junk" in search engines. Important clarification: I am not considering platforms like Europages, as lately, they have been more cluttered with scammers than anywhere else. I would appreciate any advice from those who have worked with these brands or regions.
