E-scooters in Markham
Saw something today in Markham and Steeles that’s getting ridiculous.
Groups of teenagers on e-scooters bombing through residential side streets like it’s Mario Kart DLC, weaving between parked cars, cutting into traffic, and ripping through blind spots. I’ve got dashcam footage of it too.(I'm not posting because it's teens and it exposes where I live)
Look, I get it. E-scooters are cheap transportation and better for the environment. I’m not against them. But some of these kids ride with absolutely zero survival instincts.
When I was a teenager, if we wanted to do dumb shit, we’d go find an empty parking lot to mess around in or hang out away from traffic.
Parents seriously need to talk to their kids before someone gets smoked because a driver had 0.7 seconds to react to a scooter launching out from between two SUVs.
Anyone else in Markham noticing this lately?
