Been holding down this route for almost a year straight and it's finally been bid off to someone else. It was good while it lasted! I will miss all my animal friends

We had 2 rural routes go up for bid last week at my PO, last day was the 30th. I am not the senior RCA just yet, there's 2 people still ahead of me. But I've read from older posts around here that if the date updates that could mean I won a route? Just wondering if anyone can confirm that. And if that is the case then how did I skip over the other 2 people?
