My wife and I are looking for a Brooklyn apartment while living out of state. We've had a call with a real estate agent to explore the option of bringing someone on to help with the search. The agent made the argument that they'll be able to find apartments that aren't listed on StreetEasy because of the FARE Act.

My question for you all: Is that true to anyone else's experience?

We really don't want to end up finding a place on StreetEasy ourselves and then get stuck having to pay a month's rent to the agent.
