Hello all, I have a 2007 arctic cat 500 that I inherited from my grandfather. It wasn’t running when I got it, so my father and I replaced the coil, carb, spark plug, and throttle cable. Stupidly we purchased a cheap aftermarket carb and threw out the OEM one. This was before I read the tomes of advice in this sub to not get a cheap aftermarket carb. The ATV ran good for a little while after we replaced all of those parts, but eventually it kept dying as soon as you would give it any throttle, but otherwise would idle beautifully. We took the carb off and discovered that the bowl was full of little gel like deposits. We cleaned it, drained the tank, replaced the fuel pump and all fuel lines, refilled the tank with non ethanol fuel, and it again ran fine for a little while. Very quickly however it began exhibiting the same symptoms as before and sure enough the carb bowl was once again full of gel. Any of you guys have any idea what’s going on here?
