Hello, I have a 24 year-old cast iron boiler. It’s not a popular brand It’s called Bayshore. It’s been having hiccups in the last few years. I have changed the gas valve and multiple times The wires have fried.
I am anticipating that it will need to be changed soon and need some advice on replacement. I have I have read multiple comments about high efficiency being and having a short lifespan compared to cast-iron also I don’t want to hire a company that charges 10k+ for a replacement. I just wanna do it with my plumber to keep the cost low. What should I consider in terms of cast-iron or high efficiency and what brand and model to pick.
