As the title suggest, I'm already using 4L basket-style air fryer for assortment of things, based on usage type:
- heating up food - 60%
- experimenting food like cookies and small cakes - 40%
My experience with basket-style is, although my current one is working fine, following are the things I am looking forward to upgrade:
- Bigger area to cook more food at a time. Also want to use bigger molds etc so that I can cook a bigger portion size like bread which lasts 3-4 days instead of 1-2 days. Mostly I will be making bread.
- Since smaller area, so many times I touched the sides of basket which was hot. Also taking in/out utensils from the hot basket is another challenge which doesn't seem to be an issue in oven-style.
What I don't want in my upgrade:
- Getting an OTG. They are big and I want smaller footprint on kitchen counter as I have too many other devices chilling at counter and serving their purpose.
- Huge capacity as my 4L one is sufficient for my meal portion and the sweet spot for me is 12-15 liter.
- I don't make food which needs shaking like potato wedges/fries etc.
- Rotisserie etc. fancy features aren't useful for me.
Currently looking at following options:
- PHILIPS Air Fryer NA231 (basket-style)
- Instant Vortex Plus 6L Air Fryer (basket-style)
- INALSA Aero crisp 12L (oven-style)
- Glen 12L Air Fryer Oven
I'm still stuck with the which one should I go with. So anyone who can guide or specifically upgraded from basket-style to oven-style and want to share their experience will be very helpful. Thank you.
