Last night I woke up to my husband holding me and telling me “it’s okay, you just had a nightmare.” I was really disoriented and scared, but the weird thing is I had absolutely ZERO memory of any nightmare. I was honestly confused how he even knew I had one.

He told me to drink some water and go back to sleep, so I did.

Today he told me what actually happened and now I’m kind of freaked out. He said during the night he suddenly felt weird and opened his eyes, and I was sitting straight up in bed pointing at something saying, “He’s right there!”

Then apparently I froze sitting up and got really stiff, and he had to physically help lay me back down. I asked him how “he” got in here, and my husband told me to ignore it. My husband says he didn’t SEE anything, but he felt really unsettled.

Then I closed my eyes, opened them again, and THAT is the moment I actually remember him holding me and saying “it’s okay.”

That’s literally all I remember.

This is really weird for me because I don’t sleepwalk, I don’t sleep talk, and I almost always remember my dreams at least for a little while after waking up. I’ve never had anything like this happen before.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what this could be?
