Hey everyone! I’m u/MassiveDeparture9287, founder of r/NewAppsPromotion 👋

This is a community for one main goal:

👉 Learning how to promote new apps from 0 — especially without big budgets

We focus on real strategies, not theory.

💡 A place to exchange tips on:

•	How to promote apps without funding

•	Which social media platforms actually work (Reddit, TikTok, IG, etc.)

•	How to use each platform properly (not just posting links)

•	How to go from 0 to first 100 → 1000 downloads

•	Real growth experiments and results

•	Success stories (and failures — even more important)

👉 If you’re building an app and struggling to get users — you’re in the right place

🔥 What to post

•	“I tried X and got Y result — what can I improve?”

•	“I have 500 clicks but no installs — why?”

•	“Where should I promote this type of app?”

•	Your app + what you’ve already tried (no blind promotion)

👉 Always include context — help others learn from you

⚠️ Community rules (important)

•	No spam / link dropping without explanation

•	Share insights, not just your app

•	Be honest — failures are welcome

🚀 Start here

1.	Introduce yourself (what app are you building?)

2.	What’s your biggest struggle right now?

3.	Share one thing you already tried

We’re all early here — and that’s the advantage.

Let’s figure out how to grow apps together 💡

Hey everyone

We’ve been working on our app Billy (budgeting app) for the past 4 months, and we’ve reached 250+ downloads so far.

We’ve been promoting it mainly through:

•	LinkedIn

•	Instagram

•	Facebook

All without any real budget

We also tested some paid Meta ads, but so far they’ve only brought traffic — no installs yet.

This is our journey so far — not huge numbers

Curious to hear: What worked for you to get installs (not just clicks)? Looking forward to reading your stories and learning from you !
