Hey all - I keep seeing codes where the BLS is shockingly poor - not deep enough, patient chronically hyperventilated, etc. Of course the outcome is poor, but no one ever says anything - Just rush into giving drugs. We KNOW drugs don't really work, and if we dont do the basics well, the patient will NEVER make hospital discharge. Does anyone work anywhere where there is a nursing team leader whose only job is to ensure high quality CPR in a code, or know of any other way to make this the number one priority in practice?
