Why do we call it an ‘Anterior MI’ when the Right Ventricle is technically the heart’s most anterior chamber, and why are leads V1–V4 often blind to RV infarctions despite being physically closest to them? Furthermore, the nomenclature for 'Posterior MI' feels equally contradictory, anatomically, the posterior surface of the heart is formed by the Left Atrium, yet the term is used to describe an infarction of the inferior wall of the Left Ventricle near the mitral valve.
