Operators reported that a machine's HMI no longer provides the functionality for the operators to select a button and hold it down. They log in and can press these buttons, but when they try to hold them down, they become unselected after 1 second or so. The holding down ability is needed for scale taring buttons. Apparently it used to provide this and now doesn't. They replaced it twice with two spares configured the same way, still same issue with those as well.

The HMI is on the network, so I can remotely log in to the same screen, and they can watch my cursor as I click and hold down the same buttons successfully.

As I can do it via the mouse, this indicates that the software is working correctly, and it may be a setting on the Windows OS of the HMI - in device manager maybe, or a setting on the HMI itself?

The HMI is manufactured by Beckhoff, and the HMI software is COPA-Data Zenon Runtime.

Any thoughts? Thanks

I have a bike that's around 1.75m in length from end of back tyre to end of front tyre. Really liked the BYD Seal after test driving it, but was just curious if it would be able to fit in a bike with say the front wheel turned a certain way, or front wheel removed if need be, while on a blanket with back seats folded down. One of the interesting features about the facelifted 2026 Seal is that it will have apparently nearly a foot in extra length and 85L extra boot space. So was curious if only that model would have that ability.

I have a bike rack, but the thought would be to have it inside so then I could more securely store the bike while going to the shops or something after a ride. More secure than a chain on the outside.

Anyone have success doing this with say the current Seal? How about Atto 3 or Sealion 7?

Thanks

He's mentioned many times he has huge amounts of debt. How can he be paying the lawyers and whatever other fees associated with the constant lawsuits? Not to mention his surgeries, mortgage, the significant cost of the contractors for his house, and subsequent attempts to fix their terrible work - roof coverings, dehumidifiers, large power bills etc?

He mentioned he's been estranged from his parents for the last few years, so likely can't be their money. He might've made some profit with his company, but he has mentioned he'll have to close soon, not sure if true or not. But even if his business was making decent money, it would be nowhere near enough to pay for the way he lives his life.

So what is his financial source, loans that he has no intention of paying back? If so, from where is he getting them? Doesn't seem to make sense.

Test drove the BYD Seal for the first time, really liked it. Have driven quite a few other brands' EVs at this point - Zeekr, Polestar, Tesla, Kia, Skoda, Xpeng, Subaru, Jaecoo. The Seal was different in that it was a sedan whereas the others were SUV's, but was a really good experience, especially at the price point for the Premium.

Read about the 2025 to 2026 change in the car, saw a ytube short that was titled 'The 2026 Facelift BYD Seal', where it compares the two. Saw some good features, like the boot having now 485L compared to the previous 400L. The giveaway I'd driven the older one is that the screen was able to be rotated.

Looked it up now and it seems Australia is only getting the PHEV 2026 Seal, not the EV. Was disappointing as a PHEV is not something I was after, due to having to charge and refuel, and having twice as many components etc. There are no doubt some positives, but was more keen on an EV. So it seems if I like the Seal EV I could only get the 2025 model?

Has anyone heard anything different to this or is this the general understanding?

Thanks
