Playlist of Matsuda Seiko's 2025 80s Collection - Remastered and Pitch Corrected

Hello 👋🏻

I'd like to share my playlist of songs from Matsuda Seiko's 4x Song Collections released in 2025.

They include the following:

Seiko Daimond - Karuho Kureda Works

Seiko Invitation - Kazuo Zaitsu Works

Seiko Harmony - Haruomi Hosono Works

Seiko Feelings - Eiichi Ohtaki Works

As mentioned in the title, these are remasters, and I can tell the songs have been pitch-corrected. This does not mean auto-tuned, which is what most songs are these days. Pitch-correction helps those stray notes that are off-pitch, while retaining the other subtleties like vibrato, and note transitions.

I listen to her music almost daily. So I know almost every note, every pitch. I can definitely tell they used pitch correction. How do I feel about it? I haven't decided yet.

To be honest, there are some songs where Seiko was quite off in hitting the right note, and I wish I could correct it with a pitch adjusting app or software.

A subtle example might be in her song 水色の朝 - Mizu iro no Asa.

A VERY obvious example would be Rock'N'Roll Good-Bye. I basically couldn't listen to the original. I'd skip every time because off the off-pitch singing (partially intentional for the style of the song). But I can tolerate it now in the remastered version.

So for those songs, it's nicer to listen to, and they did adjust those in these collections.

Feel free to take a listen, and let me know your thoughts!

Can you also tell it uses pitch correction?

I drew this in my highschool agenda!

I was at my parents' place, and found this old drawing I made in my highschool agenda!

That was probably the peak of my artistic career 😜

Hope you like it!
