An acquaintance of my husband is being extremely generous and hosting me for a few days in NOLA (I'm attending a conference I wouldn't be able to afford without their hospitality). I'd like to get them something local (a gift certificate to a favorite place? A well-known dessert that is maybe out of the way to get?) - they are artists and writers, but I haven't met them to know much more.
