I see so many people complaining about how they don't know spray patterns, have bad aim, or how their teammates are bad. But those are not the things that are ruining my experience. Instead, the problem is lagging/stuttering. It is annoying having to spend half of the time afraid of getting a lag spike, instead of normal things like the actual game.
It is one thing to be bad at a game. Honestly, I like being a beginner because I know I can constantly get better if I want to. Lagging, however, is no fault of my own, which gets me negative feedback for no reason. Basically, I have the willingness to learn and grind consistently, but the lag is preventing me from doing so.
CS is built to reward accuracy. About 80 % of the entertainment centered around CS consists of pixel perfect maneuvers like deagle aces and nade lineups. I could never even dream of doing something like that because 50 % of the time my character is jumping 5 m back and forth.
So in short: big lag > game annoying > me annoyed
