Has anyone else seen the parallels between the Plate Gate and the Southern Oracle from The Neverending Story? The bolts of lightening as you approach and the image of Sam seeing himself in the "mirror" like Atreyu? I'm not sure if anyone else is feeling this comparison/parallels knowing how much Kojima wears other stories influence on his sleeve? Anyone else have thoughts on this?
