How can I pivot into floor trading/IB/Private Equity?

Spent 2 years 3 months in a back office compliance role for one of the Big Four banks. Was my first corporate job out of college, and I quit this Friday. Really got demotivated by how lax it was, but the pay was stable and was good experience. But the work honestly, was boring. I’m guessing if I want to pivot into actual IB, my only chance would be as an intern and then working my way up, but would this be a waste of time or the only way I can get in? Would my prior experience even matter much? I’m not licensed, but know about all of the licensing so I’d love to get into it at least. Really want to see if I can make this possible, I didn’t go to a T30 or T10 school, can definitely get an MBA within the next year or two, but I want to get my foot into something I know I can grow into in a few years. any suggestions?

Should I work here for another 2 weeks, or follow through with quitting this Friday?

24M, been at this B4 for 2 years 3 months, not growing anymore. Learn more outside of work in community college than I do here, and my managers been telling me to slow down, and I don’t really like anyone on my team. I’ve also been put on PIP, but I have another 30 days before the 90 day period is up. I have only 10k saved up, and classes start back up in June. I don’t have another job lined up, and this job is honestly making me want to pivot into something like criminal defense law or something in healthcare. I feel like I’m getting dumber being here, and I don’t even make enough to get the things I want in life.

Should I stick it out for 2 weeks to get another few Ks to add to my savings, or should I just follow my heart and leave this week?

With all the conflict going on between America and Iran, is cashing out my 401k a good idea right now? Everyone keeps looking about recession fears because of this war, and I don’t want to lose all of my savings when this officially hits and assets are complete underwater. I know personal finance might not like this, but I wanna ask just to see where your guys’ heads are.

24M, worked my first corporate job and plan on switching over, just wanted to go over the numbers and see if I did ok. I had a lot of fun outside of my job, and the calculations leave a bit of money unaccounted for, and I couldn’t tell you what I spent it on. Like food, gas, and things like that. Here’s what I have accounted for:

Salary for 2 years, including now:

Initially came into this job with 9k in debt.

Year 1 (2024) Made 67,000

Year 2(2025, first year on salary): 75,750

Year 2 (this year, before I quit): so far made 25,000

What I’ve spent it on that I’ve calculated:

14,500 - 2015 Corolla

12,000 therapy

Bad habit, but I spent about 12k on strip club/escorts

4k spent on rent, I moved out in November of last year.

On the same token,

I also have 11k in a HYSA right now.

And 21k in Roth/Traditional 401ks.

I bought some other cars and sold them but lost money, so maybe that’s where the money gets left unaccounted for. I plan on getting a graduate degree in the coming years, and I have 25k in debt from my undergrad. Probably should’ve paid it off, but I was living with my parents and they continuously offered to pay it off and I told them no.

Did I completely fuck up?

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask but I have 2 years of corporate consulting experience and I feel like this is dead end. I want to make a pivot into law, but I’m anxious that AI is going to replace it in the next 5-10 years once I get out of school for it. Is this an alright pivot to get into?
