I recently bought a 2008 Tundra TRD 5.7 with 238k miles (when I bought it). Looking through the Car Facts report (sp.) the only documented service I see is for oil changes. The air filters (engine and cabin) were disgusting. I really doubt that the transmission fluid was ever changed. I’m on the fence about changing the trans fluid in fear of causing damage when I don’t see any signs that there’s a problem. I’m looking for suggestions.

After all of the suggestions you guys gave me (along with the information/documents), I’m feeling a lot more confident about changing the trans fluid vs. letting it eat. Thanks a million!
