Visa for Syrians in UAE
- I’m a Syrian passport holder with a valid residence permit in an EU country.
- I applied for a Dubai tourist visa twice in the last 4 months and both applications were rejected.
- Recently I’ve been hearing that UAE visas for Syrians have become easier to get approved again during the last couple of days.
- I’m thinking about applying one more time.
Questions:
- How realistic are my chances of approval now?
- Does having an EU residence permit help?
- I also have a German friend who lives and works in Dubai and is willing to sponsor/invite me for the visit.
- He works for a good company and earns more than 15k AED monthly. Would sponsorship from him improve my chances significantly?
Another question:
- We used to work together before. If I visit Dubai and later decide to work with him at the same company, is it possible to switch from a tourist status to a work permit/work visa while inside the UAE?
- Has anyone with a Syrian passport recently succeeded with this process?
