this could be a question for music festivals in general, but i am curious to know the process of insomniac choosing artists and/or accepting requests to play at edc. such a massive fest w lots of stages, huge lineup, artists’ conflicting schedules (and asks), and im sure they are bombarded with requests. some people have suggested artists can pay their way to a stage - i wonder how true this is for edc.
i know in general, its connections through booking agents and labels, but im curious to know what the talent acquisition team does to secure a lineup. if anyone has any insight, either from the artist side or the festival side, id love to know what goes into it.
