Hi everyone,
I was initially diagnosed with ADHD around 6 years ago under my workplace private healthcare and had shared care ever since. I’ve recently moved city and my local doctors has refused my existing shared care plan due to my psychiatrist working at a ‘private mental health clinic’. They’ve offered to refer me to an ‘NHS approved provider’ but not elaborated on what that means. Can anyone tell me what that process would look like and if it would mean I would be without meds for a while? Just trying to figure out the best way of solving this because I can’t afford to pay private prescription prices which is the whole reason I’m doing shred car in the first place 😅

This is a long shot but I recently moved to Manchester and I’ve been waiting around a month for my new GP practice to approve my shared care arrangement and they’ve just rejected it due to my psychiatrist working at a ‘private mental health clinic’. Does anyone know of any GP practices in Manchester that will accept this?
