Hi everyone,

my wife and I are currently spending 10 days in Sicily – 7 days in Syracuse and 3 days in Palermo – and we’re looking for some general recommendations.

Food:

We’re specifically interested in local spots, not tourist traps. In particular, we’re looking for:

- Pizza

- Fish

- Pasta

- Sandwiches / street food

- Cafés with great sweet snacks

We already went to Schiticchio when we arrived and it was fantastic – more places like that would be perfect.

Things to do:

We have a car, so we’re mobile, but my wife is pregnant, so activities shouldn’t be too physically demanding.

We’re mainly interested in culture and food, as well as relaxed places with a nice atmosphere.

Questions:

- What places, sights, or day trips are must-sees?

- Anything we should avoid?

- What local specialties do we absolutely need to try?

- Are there any holidays or local events we should be aware of?

We’re open to all suggestions, including less obvious recommendations.

Thanks a lot!

Edit: Bonus Points: Looking for some great leather Loafers in size 14 / 48,5 Made of leather with great quality. Price Range around Maximum 300 Euro.
