Hi,

I was fired without cause by my employer. I haven't signed the ridiculous form they gave me (they offered me 16 weeks but only if I kept the settlement confidential and if I waved my rights to pursue a harassment claim etc) and have booked an appointment with an employment lawyer.

I have worked at my workplaces for 16 years. I was a middle manager.

I know common law is typically one month per year. But can sometimes be more or less. What determines the amount?

I feel like a lot of injustices (harassment etc) were committed against me at my workplace. (Way to complicated to discuss here) Does this factor into the amount of money you get or is it pretty standard as no cause was given for the termination.

What does the process actually look like once meeting with the lawyer?
