Hematocrit is still a sore issue for me, especially since my iron is low (well, ferritin, and other scores are almost in the red) and B12 was low for years causing neurological issues. Taking all 3 increase RBC production.

I was on injections for years. I tried varying dosages, from 100mg/week to 200mg/week and in-between. I tried once a week, twice a week, and four times a week. It all caused increases that were pretty fast.

Last year I was switched to cream. I was told to do 200mg every morning. Then due to Hematocrit I lowered it myself to 150mg in the morning. Then due to Hematocrit I decreased it myself to 100mg in the morning. I talked to my TRT clinic and they said split it - one dose in the morning and one dose around dinner time. I did 100mg twice for 200mg, then did 100mg AM and 50mg PM, and now I'm doing 50mg AM and 50mg PM. All of this is on my own. Just trying to keep my Hematocrit under control.

I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP religiously. I drink a good amount of water. I weight train 3 or 4 times per week, go on walks, and stay active by running around with my toddler.

Are daily injections better for Hematocrit? ChatGPT says so, but I know AI isn't anywhere perfect.

As for my plan with iron and B12, I'm going to try 36mg EOD of iron carbynol and 500mcg daily of hydroxocobalamin. My iron has gotten low enough it is causing dizziness issues when I'm standing for a couple of minutes. I finally took another dose today (I had stopped for a few weeks) and it helped immediately.

Edit: HCT is ~54. It has gotten as high as ~58 late last year. Hence the decrease in dosage multiple times. Hemoglobin is ~18.
