As a returner/beginner do clubs matter that much?
I played a fair bit in my teens and early 20's. Never serious enough to get a handicap, but could break 100 on a good day and enjoyed some good shots among the slices and chunks.
At the age of 44 I'm getting back into playing but am using some older clubs. Callaway great big bertha tungsten titanium irons with stiff graphite shafts and a Callaway x460 driver.
I hit the shorter irons and driver ok but would I benefit from some newer, more forgiving clubs, possiblywith a reg flex?
I'm having lessons and don't have loads of spare cash, but i want to make the game as easy/enjoyable as possible.
