My professor and our TA split the grading for the essays in my class. My professor graded my first essay and I got a 96. I really thought my second essay was a lot better, but my TA gave me an 85. I really think the TA is a substantially harsher grader than the professor, as my friends who had the Professor grade them for this essay got much better grades, even with more critical comments. I’ve never tried to contest a grade and I’m usually very against it, but I really feel that the essays were graded with substantially different standards and that my growth between them wasn’t appreciated. If I a student tried to get an essay reevaluated for this reason would you be annoyed? I don’t want to be disrespectful, but this is going to seriously reduce my course grade
