Hi friends, I’ve been using this wonderful Canon AE-1 for some time and it’s been pretty good to me. But as the picture suggests; I’ve maybe been not so good to it…

I dropped it a couple days ago and banged it up on the film rewind crank. As you can see, there’s a small 1-2mm crack under the screw, which I’m worried is going to cause some light leaks that even new light-seals won’t solve.

Would using a small bit of Epoxy (specifically J-B Weld) on the crack be a good fix?

Any advice on repairing this camera would be appreciated. Thanks!
