I’m an international student and I’m expecting to join Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) this October.
I had a few questions and would really appreciate honest experiences from current or past students:
Accommodation
- Is it easy to get on-campus accommodation as a postgraduate?
- How much does it usually cost per semester/month?
- Would you recommend staying on-campus or renting outside?Living expenses
- Roughly how much do you spend monthly (rent + food + transport)?
- Is it possible to live comfortably on a student budget?Social life & environment
- How are the people at UMPSA?
- Are students generally friendly towards international students?Important (honest answers please)
- As an African student, should I expect any racism or discrimination?
- Or is the environment generally welcoming?
I just want to prepare myself mentally and financially before arriving.
