Hello - since february, I’ve had mild pain, only in my left ear that comes and goes.
At one point near the beginning, it was fairly severe for a few days. I went to urgent care, and they said everything looked normal, no infection, they tested me for strep throat - negative, sent me away with high dose ibuprofen.
It got better after that, but hasn’t gone away. It’s mild, but my main problem is that I can’t wear earplugs or earbuds or anything in that ear, or it’ll hurt. It feels kind of like the feeling if you wear earbuds for too long, or ones that don’t fit, but it just always feels like that.
I’m thinking of going to an ENT, but i’m wondering what the possibilities are to do some preliminary research, I was thinking it could be Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, or possibly some kind of ear injury, maybe from wearing earbuds too much or something, but there wasn’t any particular trauma.
