I am creating an SPFx application and I need an automation that is able to run in the background when the application isn't open in someone's browser.

The use-case I am looking for is importing emails when they come in. Power Automate seems like the most obvious choice for this but apparently if you're not using Dataverse you're using a "legacy" version of Power Automate that will be deprecated.

As far as I understand, when using Dataverse, each use that would interact with it needs to have their own Dataverse license. This seems incredibly expensive for $20 per person, especially when 90% of users will be minimal users just looking at information.

Does someone have advice as to what the best solution is for this?
