I listened to this book around 2019. I distinctly remember that bats were considered either a miracle or a blessing. The setting is a city surrounded by like a glass bubble that's completely submerged in the ocean. Main character was a young woman who was born in the underwater city. It might've been a mystery along with scifi where she was investigating why they were actually underwater but I'm not too sure on that. Pretty sure the book ends with her leaving and going to the surface as like a cliff hanger, I'm unsure if it's a series or not. It probably won't help, but the cover was blue and possibly had either light blue or yellow text.
