When having contractor install new siding discovered mold and water issues inside wall of the house. See the first 2 photos. The second 2 photos show the other side of the wall after all interior drywall was removed and mold remediated. A close up of the header over the windows in the photos shows damage. My questions are: Does this header need to be replaced? Is the damage in the photos water damage or is there also termite/carpenter ant damage? I am sure there is water damage but maybe also insect damage?
