I have never played fire emblem but i know about the games, my boyfriend lent me his 3DS he owns awakening, fates and echoes

From those games fates looked the most appealing to me, he told me a bit about the games i know there are three routes (he owns all three)

I don't usually replay games so i might only do that, i am planning on playing on hard i have experience with strategy games (tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics, triangle strategy) and i don't mind grinding if the game is too hard he owns all DLC

With that being said which route would you recomnend or should i play another game as my first one
