Maryland USA - found at a yard sale, possibly 1800s

Found this painting at a yard sale for $100. The seller said he “got it from a guy, who got it from a guy, who got it from someone’s attic”. It appears to be oil on canvas, the frame and the frame appears to be plaster. Looks a lot like Prior-Hamblin works, but I could be wrong. Any feedback is appreciated!

Found this painting at a yard sale for $100. The owner said he got it from someone who found it in an attic. The frame is plaster and very heavy, and the painting is fit inside fairly closely. Signature is “Laurens”. Any info or weigh-ins are welcome. If it gains traction, I’ll post more detailed pics from my storage unit. The other work is Carol Jablonsky, which he threw in for free.
