H&R DOE
First, I want to thank this community and Blowback9 for all the work on the AR-9 platform. Your data made this build possible.
I wanted to share my DOE (Colt 633 replica) running with a Super Safety and provide the specific parts list that finally got it cycling reliably.
The Build Specs:
Upper: OEM DOE Complete.
Trigger Group: Pre-cut trigger group and D2 steel Super Safety from Deez Nutz Tactical.
Buffer Tube: JRC Tube
Buffer: Kynshot Heavy Dampened Buffer (6oz).
Spacer: Single Kynshot Spacer Weight (2.5oz).
Spring: Sprinco Yellow Carbine Spring (20% reduced power).
Timing: A few quarters in the back of the buffer tube to fine-tune the lever trip.
Modifications & Troubleshooting:
To get this specific setup running, I had to perform a few manual adjustments:
Bolt Weight: I had to Dremel out the bolt weight for clearance. This was straightforward with a standard Dremel tool.
Upper Clearance: The lever was touching the upper receiver shelf just enough to leave a scratch. I Dremeled a small amount off for proper clearance.
Ejector Alignment: This was the biggest hurdle. I had to get the ejector bar perfectly flush with the bolt. Blowback9 has a fantastic video on this specific adjustment that I highly recommend if you're struggling with extraction or feeding.
Hopefully, this helps anyone else trying to get a DOE clone running with a forced-reset setup!
