I don’t even want to think about how many lives and hours I’ve spent on it. I got it on my first attempt today.

Now I need to go back to Galaxy 1 and get the last Luigi purple star in the toy time Galaxy (my bane in that game), then the 121st stars for both.

Then I think I’m ready to finally donate or recycle my Wii. Maybe.

I finally broke my caffeine addiction about 2 months ago. I’ve been trying for years, but I noticed that soda (I’m not a coffee person, so full-sugar soda was my caffeine source) was making some peri symptoms worse, such s as the UTIs, anxiety, etc. that realization finally push the “cost” of caffeine higher (not to mention the actual $ cost of soda these days) than the benefit of that daily caffeine kick. Shortly after that, I started sleeping through the night.

I had attributed it to other factors until today, when I read an archived post about someone giving it up because of results they’d gotten on their cortisol levels, which made me connect the dots.

Anyway, I haven’t 100% dropped it. I drink Kombucha for the probiotic benefits, but it has less caffeine than tea. I also occasionally cheat and have soda. And I’m just realizing that when I do, my sleep is worse. I had a soda on Tuesday because <excuses>, then slept *horribly* Tuesday night and was wide awake by 2:30 in the morning.

Anyway, sharing this in case anyone’s been on the fence. It might be worth giving it a trial run for a month or two, anyway.

I have some experience with fermenting, but less so with maple syrup. I picked up this bottle of maple syrup at a store when my supply from Dad was running out, then got a resupply from dad (whew!) so this bottle is still sealed. This white in the bottle has been growing slowly. It sort of looks like Kahm, but I’ve only seen in it relation to fermenting food.

Is this a throw it out? Or is this a boil it for X amount of time and rebottle?
