Here’s my first attempt at one bagging for a 4-day trip to the South of France. As a 6’2” guy, packing light is kind of brutal because every item feels enormous, but I think I finally got things dialed in enough to make the Patagonia Mini MLC work.
Would definitely appreciate any optimization suggestions from the pros here.
Packing list:
Rain jacket
Lightweight mid-layer hoodie
Long sleeve shirt
2 casual tees
1 button-up/formal shirt
2 pairs of shorts
1 swim trunk
2 lightweight pants
1 nicer pair of pants
Tech/toiletry pouch:
Sunglasses
Toiletries
Portable charger
Charger for laptop, phone, AirPods
EU adapter
Cash
Electrolytes
OTC meds
MacBook Air 15
(Keeping all of that together will be super nice for airport access.)
Main thing I’m experimenting with is footwear. I’m trying a pair of Lono barefoot shoes as my extra pair because they flatten down WAY smaller than my usual second pair of shoes. Curious if anyone else here has gone the barefoot/minimal shoe route specifically for packability and travel.
Not pictured:
Socks + underwear packed in the front compartment of the Mini MLC
Airport fit:
Heavier tee
Jeans (yes, I know…)
Hat
Belt
Overall goal was to stay versatile enough for city walking, beach time, dinners, and rain without bringing a giant bag.
Anything you’d cut/change?
