I was recently accepted for a position I applied for as a Toddler Assistant Teacher, but during the interview, they mentioned that they would place me in a Lead Teacher role because of my qualifications. However, the offer letter I received states Assistant Teacher, so I’m a bit confused about the actual position.

I initially applied mainly because of the 60% employee discount on tuition for my child. This discount is taxable.

I currently work as a Special Education Preschool Teaching Assistant, and the new offer is slightly higher than what I’m earning now. However, everything happened very quickly—I submitted my application on Wednesday, interviewed on Thursday, received the offer on Friday, and they are asking me to start within a week.

They also mentioned that they already have a Montessori curriculum in place, and my role would mainly be to implement it, along with other responsibilities of a Lead Teacher.

I don’t have prior experience working in a daycare setting, so I’m unsure if this is the right move. Is this opportunity worth considering?
