Rejecting an internship offer after accepting it.

I recently received an offer from Company A, and they gave me a deadline to accept. The role is good and I’m grateful for the opportunity, but Company B, which I also prefer due to proximity, reached out to me again and might proceed with another interview/selection process.

My concern is this: would it be unprofessional if I accept Company A’s offer first, but later back out if I get accepted by Company B? I don’t want to burn bridges or appear unethical, but at the same time, I also don’t want to lose Company A’s offer while waiting for a decision from Company B.

For context, this is for an internship/OJT, and I’m still trying to decide what would be best for my career growth. Company B is more aligned with the name/industry I’m aiming for, while Company A already gave me a sure offer.

Has anyone been in the same situation? What would be the best and most professional way to handle this?

Texas Instruments Engineering Internship

Hello, I’ve undergone their panel interview last week (1st week of May). Some of the candidates na nakasabay ko is may text na saying they have passed the interview (2 days after the interview).

Ask ko lang po, is it safe to assume that I got rejected? Or should i still keep waiting but already try to find another company.

Thank you so much!
