This all started when I got into a discussion with my peers over a color I used. I thought it was closer to a maroon, but they all said it was brown.
I’ve since taken color blind tests about 20-30 times from different testing websites. They generally ranged from normal color vision to mild red-green, with only a few outliers of moderate red-green color blindness.
The Enchroma test in particular pretty consistently measures my green color cone response at 87% with the occasional 75% outlier. Blue and red were consistently at 100% with zero outliers.
I know this level of color blindness probably isn’t a big deal to most but it’s kind of different for me because of my work.
I guess I’m just trying to figure out what this all means for me. How do I compensate for my color blindness in my work? Are there any tools you guys like to use?
