Why was there never a Grey rebellion?
Throughout the series, we’ve seen/ heard of rebellions against the society by other Golds with the Augustus-Bellona civil war and the two moon rebellions, the Obsidians with the dark rebellion and the Reds with the Rising, but why was there never one from the Greys?
There wasn’t a legionnaire that woke up one morning and realized that for the last 700 years, they’ve been slaughtering each other for a people that wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice them by the thousands if it meant growing their own personal wealth and glory? I know some Golds legitimately care about their legions but we’ve seen with Ephraim and Rhone that they’re capable of growing disillusioned with their masters and if there was a color, pre-rising, that stood the best chance of fighting back, it’s Grey. According to Lysander, they outnumber golds by wide margin and we’ve seen the very best of them kill peerless knights by the dozens.
