Hey everyone, I’m starting my B.Tech in Bioinformatics this year in India. I’m really interested in the 'dry lab' side of things—specifically Systems Biology, Synthetic Bio, and AI-driven Drug Discovery.

Since I’ll be graduating in 2030, I want to make sure my skillset is actually relevant by then. My plan is to aim for a Master's abroad (US/Europe) or a high-end R&D role in India.

For those in AI Drug Discovery: Should I focus more on pure CS/ML projects early on, or stick to the bio-curriculum?

How is the market for Precision Medicine looking for the 2030 horizon?

Any specific 'math' or 'programming' niches I should kill now so I don't struggle later? Would love to hear from anyone who made the jump from a Bio-focused undergrad to a high tech masters.

Any honest advice is nedded about Bioinformatics feild.
