Does retaking classes affect Med school application?

Hey! So I am a freshman studying Biochemistry and I just think I am gonna get a B- for my calculus class so I think I am probably gonna have to retake it to get a better grade. Additionally, since I am still a freshman there are probably more harder classes that I might have to retake in the future because my GPA goal is at least a 3.8 or 3.9. So I have a question, does retaking classes affect your chances of getting into medical school?( About 3 classes) I really want to get into a good medical school.

Hello everyone! I am a freshman currently studying Biochemistry(pre-med) and I am thinking of applying to the CLS program in my sophomore year. But I don't know how competitive it is and have a couple of questions for anyone who is currently doing the program or has done it in the past. What was your GPA when applying? What were your extracurriculars? And do you have to take all the pre-requisites prior to your application? And how hard is the program? (Do you think I could double major?). Any specific feedback or advice you might have is very much appreciated. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who decides to help me!

I am a freshman studying Biochemistry and I commute 2 hours to stonybrook so 4 hours a day and 20 hours a week and I also wake at 4:30 am everyday to get to my classes. Commuting has been so hard on me because I have motion sickness so I just feel super tired and nauseous every single day. Because of that I lack motivation to study as much as I did in high school and I am anticipating getting 2 Bs this semester which is not good for medical school. I also want to get into research and living on campus would make that way easier. In the Fall I plan to also be a UGC Fellow, a tutor and a TA. But the only problem is that dorming is super expensive as a very low-income student but I am willing to work full-time in the summer to afford it along with my tuition. I just need some people to let me know what their experience is with dorming and whether they would recommend it in my situation (also if there are any opportunities that cover housing for students, please let me know). Thank you so much to anyone who decides to answer and help me! :)
