Hi,
I took possession of this newly built house in November. Im in Canada, winters here reach -40 if that matters.
I know concrete cracks are part of life and I am ok with that. However, these problems seem to me, an ignorant non-contractor person, that it was a poor job. My suspicion is that the ground beneath the upper part of the driveway gave way and caused the cracks.
Before trying to report this back to the company that did it(it was a third party hired by the home builders, not the home builders themselves), I wanted to get a few opinions here if thats normal or not.
I dont want to attribute malice on something that can be just ignorance(on my part as well).
I actually had neighbors come by my house yesterday to ask about the driveway/paths/pads because they liked what I did with mine and wanted to do it on their property as well, but they were very concerned about the cracks I am showing in the picture. I wanted to get expert’s opinions before recommending or suggesting anything to them and reporting to the company.
Edit: I have a video too but apparently I cant post pictures and videos at the same time :(
